How Long Does It Take To Get Over A Sore Throat

time gifts!

Hello to all!

Christmas is getting closer and I like the last post I thought to inspire your imagination! This time I propose a tutorial for a packet easy cheap!

What you need is: wrapping paper, wool color preferred, a strip of felt (perhaps made by your last attack of creativity!) and of course scissors, glue and tape!
aaa

wrapped your gift, in my case, I wrapped the pips.
aaa

Begin to wrap the wool yarn around the package in an irregular manner, ensuring that the remaining part of the wire is still long enough.
aaa

After braided the wire around to make at least two flakes packet.
aaa

Cut the ribbons at the ends, resulting in an effect similar to what you see in the picture.

Roll up your strip of felt (at least 1 cm long and at least 10cm) to form a swivel. Close it by gluing the end of the strip to the swivel.
aaa
Paste the swivel in the middle of the bow and ... done!
aaa

As a final touch, you can cut a strip of chart about half the height of your package, place it under the wire and lock it back with a bit of tape or wire with the same, maybe better if you comes to mind before you wrap the thread ... but what about my brain sometimes loses the shots!

This way you can get a little pocket for the note and if you have a good stamp to do go ahead, make it even more fun!
aaa

And here's a nice little package for you to put under the tree!

Until next time,

Chiara

FIMO and other polymer clay: where to buy the materials

Finally (you say) we are betting on the acquisition of materials.

The first distinction to make is this: The polymer clay and tools useful (but not essential, remember) to work can be purchased in physical stores stores or online. I'm not here to dwell on the explanation of what and how an online store I guess many of you already make use ^ _ ^ (in any case are always available to answer your questions.) When

I started to get interested in this hobby, I became mad to figure out where to find things I needed. Not that it was overly complicated, but not knowing the polymer clay I had no idea what kind of store would sell it.

... Let's go step by step

Shopping physical

guess, like me, many of you prefer to buy from physical stores for various reasons: the possibility to buy small amounts, can see and touch the product and above all no shipping costs.
The shops of this type that are in our case are mostly shops fine arts, hobbies and some stationery particularly stocked. Much depends on where you live.

best-known chains are Leroy Merlin, Castorama , the many Brico store, etc. Brico Center. The only way you can find is a ride in your town or look on the internet in the lists that run the forums. For example cernit art there is a debate about it but I imagine that there will be many more. You just type on google "polymer clay and the city where you live" and 90% will find your listing.

Shopping online

are most certainly delivered. Usually sell the fimo and other polymer clay and everything you need. Even find things that you thought existed and that will entice you to produce objects of all kinds:) I'll list the most popular and those of whom I have had good reviews and I know personally.

If you have any tips please add it in the comments. If you find it useful we could do is an ordered list of physical stores and online to make available to the blog, I'm ready for anything.

Perles & Co - acquisition polymer clay, small parts and tools. I recommend it, sells pretty much everything.
The haberdashery - buy polymer clay, small parts and tools. I have personally visited this store (in Turin). Very impressive, too bad there is not even in Rome.
Hobby Beads - to purchase hardware and tools.
Bricol'Art - buy polymer clay, small parts and tools.
Fimo Soft - polymer clay and purchase equipment.

My personal opinion is that as long as you're beginning and you do not need large amounts of FIMO you should buy it in stores near the house because you pay more per loaf the save in shipping costs.

The polymer commercially available and specification of the FIMO.

Although all brands of polymer clay are essentially the same thing (PVC), each has its own recipe and its unique characteristics. They also come with their own instructions and cooking that vary slightly from brand to brand. The important thing to know is that all types of polymer clay can be mixed together and cooked together. The only care is to verify that the times and cooking temperatures are part of the same range.

The ideal thing would be to try them all and then choose the one most we like to price, color, texture and type of area and yield. I assure you that you could compare to want to write a treaty. Skipping this step are described below the main features, much more useful ^ _ ^

Assuming that physical stores are mainly Italian and fimo cernit, follows a list of the major brands (click on the name you will be directed to the relevant official website).

Fimo , Cernit, Sculpey, Kato Polyclay , by Sculpey Premo .

Magazine Review: A Passion Bijoux!

Today I want to talk about one of the most popular magazines and the latest in the world of jewelry :

BJX009

Bijoux passion! group Fantasy craft, that is not only a publisher but is a collection of shops, courses and services for who loves creating jewelry.

More specifically I will talk about the magazine N ° 9 out between April and May 2010, on their site you can find all their releases and the latest release can be found in most newsagents provided every two months and costs € 3.90.

The magazine consists of articles devoted to explanations of the various jewels presented, each with photos of jewelry, a list of materials used, written explanations and numbered with its explicit images.

One of the characteristics that I appreciate this magazine is that each project give more ideas, that is, applying the same techniques of the project show how changing materials or color combinations you can create different jewelry.

We can then find the headings as "creative passion" where you can find a creative talks about his experience and his style, the book dedicated to the characteristics of the stones as cutting, value and also its healing effect (for example, in my size there is a nice description of the rose quartz), "Your creations" where you can find some photos sent by readers with the work they create, and a page dedicated to the markets of the period and suggestions on what you find on the web, for example in my number I found a nice description of the site Jewelrylessons , a British site very useful for people looking for new ideas and learn new techniques of costume jewelry.

These are for me the qualities of the magazine:

  • you can find different styles and techniques, ranging from simple crystal creations dedicated to teenagers to elaborate creations like a pendant with embedding the peyote;
  • appreciate the suggestions for ideas and more for websites, because the more we go forward in our knowledge of this hobby is trying new ideas and sites to learn new techniques;
  • the site of the group is well stocked and can be accessed via the code found in the magazine to a page where you can find all the materials used to build the projects listed in the magazine. The descriptions of the materials used are still sketchy and you can search for materials in any sites or shops without being obliged to buy their products;
  • explanations are accompanied by images that explain as much as possible to perform the technique to create the project and help if the written explanation is not clear even to those unfamiliar with a particular type of technique. They also illustrated the steps for assembling the collections easier.

defects are as follows:

  • for more ideas is not given a simple list of the material used without specifying the characteristics of each material in a project and I found the description of the chains and crystals used to assemble the necklace created in composition made of squares Crystal semic, unfortunately the project was dedicated only to this geometric composition and not the complete set;
  • if you absolutely want to run the project as described and you do not live near a site for Fantasy craft must buy power from their site and first check the quantity and price for each material;
  • in the number that I have many projects rely heavily on metal rings of various sizes and colors and almost all the creations are series, perhaps due to fashion or any magazine devoted to such creations but for those who may not like a certain type of gem or technique and want a greater variety is not the ideal magazine, I always suggest if it is possible consult it before buying to see if there's anything that strikes you and you like.

In conclusion, I can say that among the magazines that I bought so far is that it seems easier to navigate and with a great price compared to the number of projects submitted, I have not tried any project, but I like to take from each ideas for designs other than those described, and perhaps discover new methods and accessories useful and then create an original and nice jewelry. For those who are beginners the various explanations will be useful to learn how to create and then to use the techniques learned in their personal creations. CSF
